
Not so long ago, Campbell Newman went from Lord Mayor of Brisbane to Premier of Queensland almost overnight.
After electoral defeat, he stepped away from politics but remained in the party – until now, that is. Fed up with the wishy washy Liberal National Party, who treat him and his legacy as a pariah, he has waved goodbye and may be eyeing a return to Canberra.
