A couple of days ago, National File’s Jack Hadfield wrote an article about the proposed Convention of States in America
Jack appears to be one of us – plus he’s a Pom so I’m prepared to cut him considerable slack. That said, our own US expert Howell Woltz, who knows more about the inside of American jails than any man would ever want to, is calling shenanigans on this one.
It just so happens that Howell is in on the inner circle and knows some of Parler’s board. He has kindly dished the dirt on what is going on.
NATIONAL FILE DEFILES CONVENTION OF STATES – WHY?
The National File article is misleading – if not slanderous. Who is behind this hit piece?
Jack Hadfield, the author, sounds like a nice enough guy. He’s British – as more and more pundits on America seem to be for some reason – but he’s dead wrong on this one.
In full disclosure, I have been a major supporter of Mark Meckler and The Convention of States for a long time and it’s people like me who are the main funders. It isn’t the Republican Bigwigs, though some of them realise like I do that an Article V Convention is perhaps now our only hope.
True Conservatives, like Mark Levin (The Great One), America’s libertarian voice, Senator Rand Paul; Talk Show Conservative, Ben Shapiro; Sean Hannity, America’s number one Conservative talk show host; and Fox News pundit, Pete Hegseth, are the driving forces behind our movement – and they’re about 180 degrees from Soros and his girl Hillary.
So, what is this Article V, Convention of States?
I thought you’d never ask, but a great question.
The Founders of America – in spite of misinformation from the Marxist Wokesters presently dismantling my home nation – were some of the most brilliant, perhaps even divinely-inspired men in history.
Being students of the history of Western Civilisation and its incredible philosophers, they knew human nature was that which needed to be guarded against if the nation was to remain free.
They expected power mad humans (like George Soros and Hillary Clinton) would try to corrode the process and system in their lust for unlimited control, which unfortunately is a zero-sum game.
For these corrupt animals to have more power over ‘us’ they first have to find ways to take it from ‘us’.
America’s Founders based our system on the belief that our rights are God-given, and cannot therefore be taken from us by any man (or woman). That doesn’t mean they haven’t tried, of course, and unfortunately, they’ve often succeeded of late.
The Congress, whenever two thirds of both houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution, or, on the application of the legislatures of two thirds of the several states, shall call a convention for proposing amendments, which, in either case, shall be valid to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the legislatures of three fourths of the several states, or by conventions in three fourths thereof.
This was the brilliant relief valve left to We the People by the Founders.
When the inevitable corrosion of freedom comes about as power is usurped by Oligarchs, corrupt politicians, and those who control them, We the People can call for a Convention of States to restrain them.
It takes 34 States to call a Convention of States and 38 (of 50) to ratify any proposed amendments – completely by-passing the out-of-control Marxists presently polluting Congress and the White House.
The limited Convention of States Resolution has already been passed by 15 States and 17 are presently in play, so we’re close.
A beautiful trial run was actually held in historic Colonial Williamsburg September 21-23, 2016.
Is the Convention Dangerous?
That’s the number one question we get, and the one the National File hit piece was intended to inflame – though I still don’t understand ‘why’.
Some opponents of the Convention of States are concerned that the convention could “run away.” They are afraid that the far-Left could hijack it and propose amendments that could push their Leftist agenda on the American people (like Congress has) but that’s what we’re against.
You see, according to the COS group, “each state must pass the same application limiting the convention to discussing only topics that would limit the size and power of the federal government.”
15 states have already done this, so we’re almost halfway there.
The delegates sent to the convention would be given a commission by their state legislatures and if they violate their commission, they are subject to recall and punishment.
Some states have even made it a felony for their commissioners to propose an amendment outside the scope of the convention application – which is the reduction of federal power only.
So, it would take a lot of Soros money and Clinton crime family coercion to turn this in the wrong direction.
Further to this point, what are the chances that 38 states would ratify a radical amendment – like a repeal of the Second Amendment – or advance an overtly-Leftist cause?
That is why, in my opinion, the Founders gave us a high bar to ratification and that is the ultimate safeguard for protecting the process.
We have just witnessed collusion by foreign powers with domestic traitors to rig the presidential race in America – something completely unthinkable in the not-too-distant past.
For anyone who wishes to debate this fact, just tell me how this Marxist found 13 million more votes than voters, for a man asleep during most of the campaign in his basement?
So, a Convention of States is the only answer, because the federal government will never reduce its own power, especially under Marxist control.
This is our one hope for taking back America before Biden and his Bolsheviks cement themselves into power via corrupted elections, mail-in-ballots nationwide and open borders.
If you think this sounds far-fetched, it is already being debated in the once-hallowed halls of Congress – or mandated by illegal decrees.
I hope National File will do a deeper dive on this and actually consult the people running Convention of States rather than running them down for an incomprehensible agenda.
I have Mark Meckler’s number if Mr. Hadfield would like to do some real journalism.
